Dr. Sangeeta Bhatia is an eminent educationist with distinguished contributions to K-12 education for over four decades, both at the helm of the KIIT World School, Delhi and in various policy-making & industry bodies. A recipient of National Award to Teachers, 2008 by the President of India through the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, Dr. Bhatia has achieved numerous other national and international accolades in teaching.
A dynamic leader, Dr. Bhatia has envisioned KIIT World School as a progressive institution where students are at the helm of their learning. A firm believer in the philosophy of ‘karma’, which is enshrined in the very roots of the institution, Dr. Bhatia has mobilised a team of like-minded, passionate people. She actively guides and leads team members from the front and has played a pivotal role in fostering partnerships with various schools around the globe, facilitating cultural and educational exchange with countries like South Korea, Germany, Scotland, Uganda and Poland. Under her care, learning is a joyful experience that blends academic accomplishment, global connections, co-scholastics, skilling and well-being within a safe, nurturing and child-centric environment.
Dr. Bhatia plays many other roles with elan and is Senior Vice President at Delhi State Science Teachers’ Forum, a Master Trainer at CBSE, and has earlier served as Member, Governing Body, CBSE. Dr. Bhatia has impeccable academic credentials having graduated in Chemistry Honours and completed a Master’s degree in Chemistry from Miranda House, Delhi University as well as obtaining a B. Ed. degree. Dr. Bhatia capped her academic accomplishments a Ph.D. in Bio Inorganic Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry, Delhi University and is aresearcher, author and speaker par excellence with 14 papers published in peer-reviewed journals.
