Workshop on the topic- Fractions was conducted by the Math department of Happy Hours School to strengthen the concept of students on 27.10.2017.
A Self-Defence workshop was organized for students of classes I & II on 18th September, 2017. The resource person, Ms.Magdalena from Germany made the students aware about different techniques to keep themselves safe and secure by using different body parts as a tool
A workshop was conducted by SONY YAY to promote their new television channel for kids – ‘Destination for Unlimited Happiness’ on August 23, 2017. The programme in this channel are designed in a different way which will strengthen important values in kids – importance of friendship, loyalty towards each other, etc. Students were shown animated clips, quiz, other fun-filled activities were conducted.
Paper Flower making Students of classes III & IV were engaged in hands on activity – Rangoli design and Paper flower making on May 9, 2016. Ms.Alka, Resource person from NIE took the workshop and provided a platform to students to hone their creative skills
Students of classes III – V were engaged in a hands-on activity – Pop Up cards organized by NIE on April 30, 2016 in the school campus. The resource person – Ms.Silky Khanna, gave wonderful ideas to enhance the creativity of students.
The workshop was conducted by Food Safety and standard Authority of India on 31st October 2018. A role enactment was done by cartoon characters to make children understand the importance of eating nutritious food.
Ms.Reena and Ms.Asha took First Aid workshop for children on December 5, 2018. They were trained to give first aid in case of emergency.
Teaching children about road safety is need of the hour as it is directly related to their physical safety and well-being. Teachers became Road Safety Educators and made them aware about the essential traffic rules, meaning of traffic symbols, walking on zebra crossing, driving in lane, following traffic lights, road to be cleared for ambulance to move forward, etc. Children were excited to drive their own vehicles -cars, scooters on the traffic path created by the students and teachers while following the traffic rules.
They were also briefed about general rules to be followed on the roads and in their own residential areas. Students of classes 3 to 5 were given real life experience of managing traffic, following traffic rules during the dispersal time.
Speaker of the year workshop was conducted for children of classes IV and V on 4th June, 2020. it was an orientation session where children were briefed about the mission and vision. they were acquainted with the activities which will enhance their communication skills and will boost their confidence. They were also apprised with the activities for the coming week.
Students of Happy Hours attended ‘Speaker of the Year ‘ workshop on empowering the communication skills of children. The students were apprised with the theme- ‘India Powerful’, journey of SOTY ,about the jury members and the youth icons associated with them.
Road Safety workshop was conducted for students on 29th and 30th April, 2019 organized by BMW. The objective of the workshop was to empower children with the right knowledge, skills and attitude to shape them into responsible citizens.
A workshop on T-shirt painting was organized in association with Hindustan Times for students of class III. The purpose behind this workshop was to enhance the creativity in students.
Pottery Workshop was organized in association with Hindustan Times for Primary students. Students got hands- on experience to make different articles.
